Before you buy: air compressor, dry air, and dry ice requirements

Dry ice blasting performance depends on the air system as much as the machine. Before ordering, confirm that your shop can supply stable compressed air and dry 3 mm pellets.

• Compressed air pressure: 87-116 psi (0.6-0.8 MPa), adjustable.
• Compressed air flow: 71-141 CFM (2-4 m³/min). Use a compressor that can sustain the required CFM during continuous blasting, not just reach the pressure briefly.
• Recommended compressor setup: at least 7.5 kW / 10 HP with a 150 gal or larger tank for stable operation.
• Dry air supply: use a refrigerated air dryer, aftercooler, moisture separator, or equivalent drying setup. Wet compressed air can freeze, weaken impact, and increase clogging risk.
• Dry ice pellets: use fresh 3 mm or smaller dry ice pellets. Store dry ice in an insulated container and load only what you can use during the job.
• Work area: keep the space ventilated and use proper PPE. Dry ice turns into CO₂ gas during cleaning.
