AIOLITH AF2217 Buyer’s Guide: When Self-Propelled Traction Matters
What Makes the AF2217 Different From a Standard Walk-Behind?
The AIOLITH AF2217 uses a dedicated traction system. Instead of relying mainly on the operator to push the machine, the operator guides a self-propelled scrubber along the cleaning route.

When Self-Propelled Operation Is Worth It
The AF2217 is a strong fit for longer corridors, repeated warehouse routes, schools, supermarkets and other facilities where pushing a heavier machine for extended periods creates fatigue. It is typically positioned for roughly 10,000–50,000 ft², with overlap at the high end where an AF2225 ride-on may also make sense.
When to Move to the AF2225
Upgrade to the AF2225 when the facility route is long enough that operator walking itself becomes inefficient, or when ride-on operation is more practical for repeated large-area cleaning. The decision should consider route shape and maneuverability, not square footage alone.
Battery, Warranty and Support
The current approved battery specification is 5,000+ charge cycles. Review the current written product and warranty terms for coverage, exclusions, claim procedures, regional terms, and duration before purchase. Human technical support provides an initial response within one business day.
Bottom Line
The AF2217 is not simply a wider AF2013. Its key value is powered traction: the machine moves itself while the operator guides it, which can make long walk-behind routes more sustainable.
