Dry Ice Blasting for Oil & Adhesive Removal
This video demonstrates dry ice blasting on a specific oil-and-adhesive cleaning task. Dry ice blasting can remove compatible oils, grease, adhesives, and residues without adding liquid water or conventional abrasive media.
The result should not be interpreted as proof of damage-free cleaning on every material. Pure dry ice blasting is generally non-abrasive compared with conventional abrasive blasting, but surface response depends on the substrate, coating, contamination, pressure, airflow, nozzle, distance, feed rate, and operator technique. Test sensitive materials before broader cleaning.
The dry ice media sublimates after impact, but the removed oil, adhesive, dust, and other contamination remains and must be contained or collected as appropriate. Provide adequate CO₂ ventilation and follow site PPE and equipment-safety procedures.
